Wonderworks Contemporary Craft Fair

Wonderworks Contemporary Craft Fair

Those seeking very special gifts can enjoy meeting and buying from the people who have fondly handmade the products. The popular annual event reconnects makers and buyers on a personal level, something you don't get with large-scale manufacture.  Visitors also have the pleasure of knowing they are supporting the wonderful tradition of local crafts on Dartmoor.

This year, Wonderworks presents 25 exceptional craftspeople from all over the South West, exhibiting everything from handmade toys, hand printed textiles, children's clothes, hand thrown ceramics, handmade books and stunning contemporary jewellery. Be amazed at Lee Jenkins' hand painted perfect wooden birds. Try on Alexander Aurum's exquisite silver rings and marvel at Adam Cornish's turned wooden bowls. These are just a few of the names you'll see at this year's fair.

This truly local fair in the friendly andhistoric town of Chagford, is the perfect opportunity for gift-hunters to enjoy a great day of festive shopping, far away from the bustle of the high street.

Organisers, Alison West and Abigail North are Chagford-based potters who ensure that Wonderworks showcases the work of locally based craftspeople.

Wonderworks has become a hub where the people of Chagford as well as visitors from further afield, can browse and socialise in a relaxed and friendly setting.

This year Wonderworks will be supporting Force Cancer Charity, based in Exeter by hosting a fundraising raffle with donated work from the exhibitors.

Wonderworks will be open on Saturday 21st November from 10am to 5pm and Sunday 22nd November from 10am to 4.30pm. Visitors can also rest and indulge in tempting treats from Chagford's wonderful pubs and eateries as well as browsing the Stannary town's beautiful independent shops.
